Metalink's Symmetric DSL solutions allow system vendors to design complete end-to-end systems as required for challenging business environments. All Metalink symmetric broadband solutions use proprietary low-power Analog Front End and support the ITU G.SHDSL and ETSI standards, making them suitable for worldwide deployment.
Metalink's SHDSL chipsets include an Octal SHDSL transceiver for the CO (Central Office) side, and a single, low power SHDSL transceiver for the CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) side.
SHDSL supports a multitude of applications including single pair, two pair, repeater and any combination of them. Metalink's SHDSL chipsets are capable  of extending the maximum bit rate per pair to 3.3 Mbps with only a software upgrade. Metalink's SHDSL products are designed to meet all common international standards, including ITU-T G.991.2, ETSI TS 101 524 and ANSI HDSL2 and HDSL4 specifications.
In addition, Metalink software offers advanced and easy interface for configuration, control and monitor its chipset with minimum integration efforts and real time requirements.
Metalink's symmetric DSL family provides a longer loop reach than the legacy SDSL technology (by approx. 25%) and offers excellent spectral compatibility with other DSL services such as ADSL or VDSL.
